Latest Campaign Finance Reports for CD15 Special Election*

What’s an election without a lot of money? Here are the latest campaign finance reports from candidates running in the Fifteenth District special election. They cover the period through Oct. 22:

  • Warren Furutani, $217,215
  • Joe Buscaino, $151,167
  • Rudy Svorinich, Jr., $130,640
  • Jayme Wilson, $129,775
  • Pat McOsker, $129,504
  • Gordon Teuber, $43,603
  • Rebecca Chambliss, $25,050
  • Justin Brimmer, $24,482
  • Frank Pereyda, $3,250
Five candidates have received matching funds, as well. Those candidates and their amounts are:
  • Warren Furutani, $100,000
  • Joe Buscaino, $100,000
  • Pat McOsker, $100,000
  • Gordon Teuber, $89,490
  • Rudy Svorinich, Jr., $66,480

Service Employees International Union Local 721 and Working Californians, a group led by Brian D’Arcy and Marvin Kropke from IBEW Local 18, have spent $315,370 on independent expenditures benefiting McOsker, while the Los Angeles Police Protective League has spent $45,000 on mailers for Buscaino.

The primary is set for Nov. 8, with a runoff on Jan. 17, 2012. More filings are due on Nov. 4.

*The Los Angeles County Democratic Party has spent $28,575 on mailers and calls for Furutani.
