Headlines
- The United Artists building on Broadway in downtown will be turned into a boutique hotel, reports the Los Angeles Times. ”This is really a shot in the arm for the Bringing Back Broadway initiative. We’ve been talking about getting a boutique hotel here and now we have one with a brand name,” Councilman Jose Huizar told the newspaper.
- A 17-year-contract with Westfield Concession Management means new retail and restaurant options will soon be coming to Terminal 2, the Tom Bradley International Terminal and Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport, reports the Daily Breeze. The deal is expected to generate $331.1 million in revenue for the airport.
- The city of Los Angeles is opening six new business assistance centers, reports the Los Angeles Business Journal. Part of the revamped program is intended to help small businesses obtain city contracts via the local preference ordinance.
